On November 14, Olga Plykina, a member of the Board of IPCO “Faith, Hope, and Love”, attended a seminar-conference in Moscow. The seminar was organized by the Alliance of Leaders of Regional Mass Media of Russia (ARS-PRESS) and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees for journalists of regional mas media of Krasnodar Region, Stavropol Region, Rostov Region, Tyumen Region, Samara Region, Moscow Region, Volgograd Region, and Sverdlovsk Region who write on subjects related to refugees, migrants, and stateless persons.

The event was timed to the beginning of the global 10-year campaign on elimination of statelessness which is a destructive legal collision involving millions of people around the world.

More than 20 journalists of Russian regional mass media, as well as heads of the Office of UNHCR in Russia, the Federal Migration Service, and the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, human rights defenders, scientists analyzing refugees’ problems in Russia took part in the seminar.
